New York Liberty at Chicago Sky

- Leg 2: Under 163.5 Total Points (-108)

The Liberty (19-4) travel to meet the Sky (9-13) in the second end of a home-and-home set. The two teams will meet at Wintrust Arena at 1 p.m., and the game can be viewed or streamed on ABC.
New York sits atop the WNBA standings, 1 1/2 games clear of the 2nd-place Connecticut Sun. The Liberty picked up a 91-76 victory in the front end of the home-and-home at Barclays Center on Thursday, covering as a 9-point favorite as the Over (166.5) hit.
The Sky fired out to a 22-19 lead after one quarter, and Chicago led 40-38 at the break. However, the second half belonged to the Liberty, as they outscored the Sky 53-36 in the final two quarters, rolling up the 15-point win. New York’s past two wins against Chicago have come by at least 13 points, with an average winning margin of 14.0 points per game. However, it should also be noted that the Sky upset the Liberty 90-81 at Barclays Center as a 16.5-point underdog, one of the biggest upsets of the season.
Looking at Thursday’s game, though, which bares the most importance to this meeting, the Liberty shot 47.6% (30-of-63) while going an amazing 56.5% (13-of-23) from behind the 3-point line, and 90.0% (18-of-20) from the charity stripe. The Liberty was impressive in the 15-point win despite the fact they were down a starter with Betnijah Laney-Hamilton nursing a right knee injury. Breanna Stewart went for 19 points, while Jonquel Jones was good for 18 points, 13 rebounds, and four blocked shots. The scoring hero was Sabrina Ionescu, however, as she went for a team-best 21 points, including four 3-pointers.
For the Sky, they were 45.9% (34-of-74) from the floor and 40.0% (4-of-10) from behind the arc. They were down Elizabeth Williams, as she was dealing with her own knee injury. Chennedy Carter scored a game-high 22 points, while Marina Mabrey was good for 15 points, six assists, and four 3-pointers. Rookie Angel Reese had 10 points and 10 rebounds for her 15th consecutive double-double, as she continues to add to her WNBA record.
The Under is the play, even though the Over is 2-1 in the previous three meetings. It should be noted, however, that the Under cashed in the only previous battle in Chitown. In addition, the Liberty are a good bet to win by at least three buckets, especially since they’ve won the past two meetings by 14.0 PPG. Go rather aggressively as a standalone bet, but also make sure to take the Liberty as part of your Same Game Parlay (SGP).
We’ll keep it rather simple, as far as the player props are concerned. Reese has 15 straight double-doubles, so she is a good play to go for at least 10+ Points and 10+ Rebounds. She proved, albeit rather closely, that she could notch a double-double against the Liberty, going for 10 points and 10 rebounds Thursday.
In addition, Marina Mabrey is a good bet to total at least four assists. She had six dimes Thursday against the Lib, and she has four or more assists in 10 consecutive outings dating back to June 16.

Los Angeles Sparks at Dallas Wings
- Leg 1: Los Angeles Sparks +3.5 (-110)
- Leg 2: Under 171.5 Total Points (-112)
- Leg 3: Dearica Hamby To Score 15+ Points (-430)
- Leg 4: Dearica Hamby To Record 8+ Rebounds (-430)
- Leg 5: Teaira McCowan To Score 10+ Points (-156)
- Leg 5: Rickea Jackson To Score 10+ Points (-215)
The Sparks (5-17) and Wings (5-18) tangle at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas. The loser of this game will be in the basement of the WNBA standings, too.
These teams have met twice this season, both in Los Angeles, with the teams splitting both straight up and against the number. In addition, the Over and Under has also split in the two previous meetings, so there isn’t a lot to glean from those two battles. Additionally, rookie Cameron Brink played in each of those two games, but she is now lost for the season due to an ACL injury.
Los Angeles has dropped 10 of the past 11 games, with the lone victory a 98-93 OT win against the Las Vegas Aces on July 5 as a 13-point underdog as the Over (173.5) cashed. The Sparks enter this game just 1-4 ATS in the past five outings, while the Under is 4-1 in the 5-game span, too.
For Dallas, it was on the short end of a 100-84 loss at Phoenix on Wednesday, not even coming close to covering as a 7.5-point underdog as the Over (172.5) cashed. Dallas has allowed 100 or more points in three of the past four games, and 95 or more points in five of the previous six outings. The Over is 4-0 in the past four, and 8-1 in the previous nine contests, too.
The best play is to take the Sparks and the points, as they’ve at least been somewhat competitive since flipping the calendar from June to July. In addition, go high on the total, as the Wings have been very giving. Dearica Hamby should enjoy an offensive explosion. In the past six games, Hamby is averaging 22.7 PPG, 9.2 RPG, and 3.7 APG in the past six outings.
For the Wings, Teaira McCowan went off in Phoenix last time out, posting 15 points and 10 boards, giving her two double-doubles in the past three games. She is averaging 13.3 PPG and 8.3 RPG in the span, while also posting 1.0 BPG. She is a good bet to get into double digits in points. As for Jackson, the rookie, getting to double digits in points against the very giving Wings is a strong play, too. She has 13.6 PPG across the past five games, going for 12 or more points in four of the outings.
